So I bought my ticket to go see Bloc Party. I am excited.

BUT LOOK WHO ELSE IS PLAYING IN THE NEAR FUTURE:

• Tegan & Sara at The Neptune—9/24
• The Head and the Heart at The Paramount—9/15
• The xx at The Paramount—10/6
• Stars at Showbox at the Market—11/8

Why does it cost $46 to go see The xx? I like them a lot, but that is at least one and half trips to Trader Joe’s.

My thoughts whilst standing around during intermission:

• Do people actually listen to the opening bands before going here? (I usually do so I feel like I am in the loop.)
• Do women intentionally style their outfit so they have an inch or two of stomach showing or does that just happen? 
• Girl hanging all over her boyfriend: if you aren’t interested in the bands, why are you here? 
• Why would anyone in their right mind wear heels to a show? 
• Is their a polite way to exit the middle of the crowd? (Answer: no.) 
• The microphone feedback is making her voice sound like whale calls. I am okay with it. 
• Why is everyone texting? (I think as I also type on my own phone.)
• Is that guys twirling his mustache? Yes. Yes, he is. 
• Number of meh facial piercings: 5 from where I am standing.
• I look fucking weird for doing calf stretches.
• Everyone hates me because I am coughing.
